Clinova — free WordPress theme for dental and medical practices

A full-site-editing theme for dental practices, medical clinics, physiotherapy, dermatology and veterinary websites. Built and maintained by tanchev.net.

Free, GPL, and free of the usual nonsense: no locked features, no upsell notices in your dashboard, no bundled page builder, and nothing that phones home.

What you get

• Four complete looks — each changes palette and type pairing together, switchable in one click under Styles.
• 15 block patterns for dental and medical practices — drop any of them into any page.
• 9 templates covering front page, blog, single post, pages, archive, search and 404.
• Around 1 MB. No framework, no jQuery, no build step, no page builder. Fonts are bundled, so there is no third-party request.
• No plugin required, and nothing breaks if you switch themes later.

Setting it up

The home page lives in the site template, not in a page. Edit it under Appearance → Editor → Templates → Front Page. Ordinary pages are edited under Pages as usual, the header and footer under Patterns → Template Parts, and colours and fonts under Styles.

Replace the placeholder images with your own from the media library — the layouts are built to hold real photographs at the same sizes.

If you would rather not do it yourself

The theme is free and stays free. Setting a site up properly — your content, your photography, the details that make it look like the demo rather than a template — takes time you may not want to spend.
